Things Began to Get Better

I had seen Al give a speech at a giant National Convention two years ago. Then, about a year ago, I called him for a free half-hour consultation. I even went so far as to talk to one of his clients, who did nothing but rave about him.

Yet, time continued to drift on by, and I couldn’t seem to make the commitment to myself and to my company to get him on my team because I was short on time and on money. I run a small plumbing shop with my wife and it was tough to justify the cost. At least, that’s what I told myself.

I caught a break when Al created the four Power Plans! that presented me with a logical sequence to install programs and tools that I could use to fix my company on my own. Frankly, if I had it to do over again, I would just bring Al in directly. I was able to get my feet wet with the Power! Plans, but what I really needed was one-to-one help… and fast!

So, when things began to get a little better at my shop, I finally made the commitment to have Al come to my shop to do Planning Power!

Since that visit, my wife and I have begun to whittle away at the Master Project List we created with Al that contains all the projects and good habits we want to put into practice. And we’re really looking forward to having Al back to write our Customized Operations Manual so I can build more staff who know the way I want things done. It’s been great having Al around as a mentor.
